TTL Galilean
Overview

Why clinicians choose TTL Galilean

TTL Galilean uses a simple two-lens (Galilean) optical design — the same principle behind a classic telescope — mounted directly through the lens of your own frame. It stays compact and light at 2.5×–3.5×, with a wide, natural field of view, making it a comfortable entry point into loupe magnification for general dentistry, hygiene and everyday chairside work.

Key Features

Everything built into TTL Galilean

2.5× – 3.5× range

The magnification range most general and hygiene work is done at, without stepping up to a heavier optical system.

Simple, lightweight optics

A two-lens Galilean design keeps the barrels compact and light on your frame.

Wide, natural field of view

Galilean optics hold a wide field at these magnifications, so you're not working through a tunnelled image.

Built into your own frame

Mounted through the lens of your own glasses, just like our other TTL loupes.

Benefits

What it means for your practice

A lighter way to start with loupes

If you're moving to magnification for the first time, Galilean optics are the lightest, simplest option to adjust to.

Wide field, less searching

A wider field of view at 2.5×–3.5× means less time hunting for your working area between glances.

As light as your own glasses

Because the optics are built into your existing frame, there's nothing extra sitting on the bridge of your nose.

FAQ

Common questions about TTL Galilean

Galilean loupes use a simpler two-lens design that keeps them light and compact, typically up to 3.5×. PrismX uses a prism-based system for higher magnification with a wider field of view at those higher powers — a better fit if you need 4× or above.

Head Light

Pairs well with head lights — Firefly and FlexiLight Pro

Add Firefly · FlexiLight Pro — mounted with your loupes for shadow-free illumination in the sulcus and along the root.
